Stainless Steel Butterfly Valve Introduction

As a kind of component used to realize the on-off and flow control of pipeline system, stainless steel butterfly valve has been widely used in many fields such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, hydropower and so on. In the known butterfly valve technology, the sealing form is mainly sealed structure, and the sealing materials are rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene, etc. Due to the limitation of structural characteristics, it is not suitable for high temperature, high pressure, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and other industries. The existing advanced butterfly valve is a three eccentric metal hard seal butterfly valve, the valve body and the valve seat are connected components, and the surface layer of the valve seat seal is overlaid with temperature resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy materials. The multi-layer soft laminated sealing ring is fixed on the valve plate. Compared with the traditional butterfly valve, this butterfly valve has the advantages of high temperature resistance, light operation, no friction, and the sealing performance and service life of butterfly valve are improved with the increase of torque of the transmission mechanism.

Stainless Steel Butterfly Valve Maintenance

1. The pneumatic butterfly valve should be kept clean and the transmission thread must be lubricated regularly in the process of use. In case of any fault, it should be stopped immediately to find out the cause and remove the fault.

2. The bolts of the packing gland should be tightened evenly, and should not be pressed into a skew state, so as to avoid bumping, hindering the movement of the valve stem or causing leakage.

3. During installation, the valve can be directly installed on the pipeline according to the connection mode. Generally, it can be installed at any position of the pipeline, but it needs to be convenient for operation and maintenance. It should be noted that the medium flow direction of the stop valve should be upward flow under the longitudinal valve disc, and the lift check valve can only be installed horizontally.

4. When the pneumatic butterfly valve is used, it is only used for full opening or full closing, and it is not allowed to adjust the flow, so as to avoid erosion and accelerated wear of the sealing surface. There are inverted sealing devices in the gate valve and upper thread stop valve. When the hand wheel is turned to the top position and tightened, the medium leakage from the packing can be prevented.

5. When opening and closing the pneumatic butterfly valve, the hand wheel should be used. Do not use lever or other tools to avoid damaging the valve. When the hand wheel rotates clockwise, it is closed, otherwise, it is open.

6. Before installation, it is necessary to carefully check whether the pressure and diameter of the valve mark meet the use requirements, eliminate the defects caused by the transportation process, and eliminate the dirt of the valve.

7. The valves stored for a long time shall be inspected regularly. The exposed processing surface shall be kept clean and the dirt shall be removed. When storing, the ball valve shall be blocked at both ends and be in the open state. The pneumatic butterfly valve and the channel shall be blocked at both ends and be in the closed state. They shall be neatly stored in a ventilated and dry place indoors. Stacking or open storage is strictly prohibited.
